Alright, so this is the start of my blog. Ta dah!!! I'm feeling apprehensive, not just because of this blank white sheet on my screen but also because I encountered problems before I even began: namely, what to call this blog. Unfortunately, I'm clearly on the same brain waves as millions of other bloggers out there as every name seemed to be taken! So after ten minutes of 'should I call it, 'twenty thousand calories under the belt?' I eventually managed to get to this stage!
So, A few quick words before I get anywhere. I intend this blog to revolve around cooking, especially desserts (see prev. mentioned initial title, which was deemed too 'off putting' by Alice) and maybe some other ramblings on the side: how my writing is going, anything else I can write a substantial blog post about, etc, etc. I was inspired to start mainly by Ana's recipe for ginger nuts, and I though to myself, I have a few recipes to share with the world too! Though, unlike the aforementioned, I generally lack in the slightly mad/eccentric edge to my life, (in a good way, Ana) and will try to make it up in witty remarks and anecdotes... note try.
Luckily for me (yes! It's a first!) I doubt I'm going to gain a devout following of a few million who will form a religion about me, so, I can use this space to write randomness with a clear conscience that I won't be boring too many people to death! However, to anyone that might have survived this blog post to the end, I would like to quickly note that there won't be so much moaning and negativity in posts to come, I just needed to get it out of my system. Grr, stupid other bloggers... how dare you steal the name 'let us eat cake'??!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!! (A fine example of bangorrhea, as Alice would say... sheesh, that last sentence took me about ten minutes to write just finding the spelling of bangorrhea! So I've put it in bold for you all to appreciate).
I've really got to stop writing now or I might go on infinitely down the page.... :)
